With the festive season around the corner we are always on the look out for hidden gems in the local restaurant and bar scene. That perfect place to treat visiting friends to a delicious meal or unique drinks - and to show of Pretoria’s cool, quirky and fashionable side! It’s a hard job - but someone has to do it, so we bravely took the bit between our teeth and set off, in search of that perfect day drinking spot. Conveniently around the corner from Milner Fashion House, Apogee Boutique Hotel is perched high on the ridge of Waterkloof in Pretoria - making for breathtaking views of the whole Jacaranda City. We dropped in on a quiet weekday afternoon to take in the scene and try out their cocktail menu.
Sitting on the spacious veranda overlooking lovely gardens with a drink in hand felt like being on holiday for a few hours. There is nothing like a sip of something delicious while you stare into the distance to make the worries of the day fade away for a while
Spoilt for Choice
The cocktail menu is extensive and filled with classics and some unique variations just to keep things interesting and fresh. Order your old favourite or be daring and surprise your taste buds with something completely new. They also have a nice selection of mock-tails so your no-drinking pals wont feel left out. Our drinks were not only beautifully presented, but tasted heavenly. A feast for all the senses - and the perfect accompaniment to the spectacular scenery.
