Carina is obsessed with pattern making - if she could spend all her time in the studio just making patterns she would be the happiest fashion designer in the world. She has been making patterns for years and has a unique insight into the fit solutions South African women need - fitting countless garments to all shapes and sizes will do that for you!

At Milner Fashion House we absolutely love learning new skills and sharing our knowledge with anyone who wanders in - so it feels like a natural progression to start sharing that knowledge. experience and passion in a bit more structured way.  Beginning in January 2022 we will be hosting a fun selection of classes at the premises - everything from fashion to food! To give an idea of what to expect, and to get everyone as excited as we are, we had a chat with the lecturers.

We are busy putting the final touches on the Milner Fashion House Valentine's Day Havana Nights experience - and making sure our dancing shoes are ready for a long night of busting moves. While we are getting the dance floor ready, here are five reasons (proven by science, for the doubters)  why dance is so fun and good for you.

Next in the all-star line-up is Chef Robbie.  Robbie has been working in the hospitality industry since childhood and his sushi skills are next level.  He will introduce you to the equipment you need for sushi making and help you master some of the basic techniques.  We dragged him out of the kitchen to answer some sushi making questions you might have.

At MFH we love good food and therefor are always on the look-out for new-to-us places that satisfies a particular carving.  When those places are ALSO master artisans perfecting their craft - we get really really excited! We are very excited to introduce the owner of De La Vida Dance Academy and one of the instructors for our Havana Nights event, David Lombaard. As you'll see below David has loads of experience as a professional dancer and teacher making him and his team perfect for showing you the ropes!

With the festive season around the corner we are always on the look out for hidden gems in the local restaurant and bar scene. It’s a hard job - but someone has to do it, so we bravely took the bit between our teeth and set of in search of that perfect day drinking spot. That time has arrived again. One moment it still feels like the middle of the year, the next thing you know someone in the office pipes up with: “so, what are we doing for our year-end function this year?”  What ARE you going to do? Excitement levels ran high at Milner Fashion House (MFH) the past few months as ERRE, our resident fashion designers, prepared to launch a collection in Paris. For a while, MFH was overrun with design sketches, inspiration images, fabric swatches and sample garments - but now that the hectic rush has passed and our brilliant ladies have returned from Europe we took the chance to quiz them about their experience in Paris.
